The Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Yannis Maniatis, and the Chairman and CEO of Energean Oil & Gas, Mathios Rigas, signed on 13 January the second amendment to the Prinos Concession agreement. On behalf of BP, a separate agreement was signed by Carol Howle, Head of Supply and Trading Global Oil Europe and Finance that will see BP purchase the entire production from Prinos for the next six years.

The Ambassador welcomed the signing of the agreement, stressing that this confirms the fact that Greece can contribute to ensuring supply of energy resources to Europe. He stressed that the agreement is expected to provide significant benefits for both companies and the Greek Government.
